Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year.
Starting January 1st 2024 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.

love the the wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide stereofield. Awesome "around my head" feeling. The sheer amount of diversity you fire off in just one track ist simply amazing.
ooooh i want to play this game! wonderful bassline and the mix is suhweet. I agree with perplex on about the 'around the head' feeling. With the ending resulting in me earning bonus points and the magical flute!

This is SICK on headphones. Now I get my LSDJ and feel miserable... So cristal clear and still punchy and bouncy! I'm loving all your "chip themed" tracks... "I saved my game here once" counts as game-related?

Funny you mention that! This song is very loosely based off of my memory of playing stage 2 of ViewPoint on NeoGeo... Maybe not so much the house music as just the idea of robotic sea creatures.

Hah! I do! But you can produce the same wide sounds to! I do a lot of things to widen the field, but the easiest is Fruity Stereo Shaper, which essentially just ads a slight delay, and phase inversion among other things. There are plenty of free shapers out there as well. Also on this track, I used a stereo delay (Fruity Delay 2) on a makeshift send channel. I have it set to come in one channel and pingpong between the two. I don't use a real send channel since I want it to be fed back into the side-chain channel for extra fun times. Make sure to have stuff in the center like bass to give the wide stuff some contrast!
