Sleep Slap

Super burnt out this week. Between a rush job for a client, making Halloween stuff with my partner (1, 2, 3), and releasing a Halloween collection, making a stupid video for it, and refreshing my online graphics stuff, squirrel in the wall growling at me while I try to keep it from electrocuting itself in the basement, I have been going to bed around 6am every night. So even though technically Halloween is tomorrow, I'm just doing a super chill easy song this week, with only one instance of Sytrus. I started this back in week 23, but it seemed pretty boring at the time. Now it's just what I need to relax a bit. Can't wait to get a good night sleep tonight!

Garfield used Sleep Slap. It's sluper effective! tongue
Hope you're catching up on some of that much needed and well-deserved rest.

Yeah! I hope so to!

those arpeggios are like sweet gummy worm candy noodling all around my ears, love the fuzzy feel of the bass end sounds too(kick and bassline have this nice warmth, like a cozy 'ready for sleep' feel big_smile).. such a beautiful mix heart

Have a good recovery! Working everyday until 6am - this is very intense! Take it easy. This track still works well!

Thanks!

Will do!

One easy trick to make your song both longer and more relaxed is by reducing the tempo. I bet it'll help you rest easier that way too.
Sleep easy, you deserved it.

This week sucked!

But I went to bed early, woke up late, listened to these fun twiddly arps, and now feel much better about the world! Hope the same for you.

Nah, I actually sped it up from what I had earlier this year. I don't want to be in a coma!

Just keep in mind that if you don't take care of yourself, your body will hand you that coma either way.

Glorious arps! And those sweet harmonies! Caught my attention while browsing the beats.

Thanks!

hope you got some rest - really cool projects!!! that boo song = earworm

Such a lovely mellow sounding arps and just the overall tone of everything sounds so soothing.  I like how it feels sorta closed in but certain elements escape that closed field.  Either way sounds great! smile  Hope you've caught up on your sleep!

Damn dude you've been busy and still cranking out dope ass tunes in the process. I'm jelly. Sleep Slap is a super appropriate name, haha.

Since everything is contained in a single patch, part of the challenge is finding ways for single elements to sound like they are unique and break out of their field so to speak. Luckily Sytrus is very versitile, and there are a lot of out-of-the-box tricks you can do with it!

Thanks! Don't feel jelly, my secret power is extended unemployment.
I mostly like the way sleep slap sounds together, but it also is very accurate how I felt that week.
