Oodles Of Noodles

Love song to noodles! Instant noodles don't even compare to the real deal! I miss going to get noodles with my good friends in Chicago!

Really happy with my Casio SK-1 drum dupe! The high hats took longer than anything else in the song combined, and I still didn't come close to getting it right, but I think only SK-1 fanatics will notice in the mix. Sytrus doesn't do well with generating complex faux noise cycles. It's deceptively tricky!

Also, spent a few minutes at the very end to make some 100% Sytrus scratching patch, because before I used the GrossBeat gate/time effect, but it's nothing Sytrus can't do, I just need to make more scratch patterns to juggle.

This is next level awesome. And a track about ramen! Awesome speech manipulation, this is really awesome. I can just imagine the amount of work that was required to get it so expressive.

The AI model makes it expressive. But it is a lot of work trying to get good results that fit well in the song, and then cutting it up to work in the song. Hope you have fun with it!

Thanks! Just fed the AI a bunch of stretched out words to say. Then I use Fl Studio's Newtone plugin to cut and tune the recordings. The bend is simply moving parts of the recording on Newtone's piano roll.

The more noodled the better. I'm not eating nooldes now. But I like to think about them. And see gifs of dancing ones. just send noods, ha!  Nice song!

increible !

Heh heh, super catchy once again.

Delicious Cup o' Funkin Noodles! You are the AI vocal master!!

Excellent use of the SK1... do you actually use a real one or a sampled version?. I can't live without my 3 tones of the VL1 in every device smile

I'll eat some of my home made chicken noodles now... you made me hungry!

I don't have one! But I've always liked the drums! This is my recreation of the SK-1 using the Sytrus FM synth. So it's a bit of a compliment that an SK-1 connoisseur thinks this was sampled!
With the exception of the lyrics, all my songs/instruments/sounds from this year and most from WB2020 are 100% Sytrus patches I have made. Lyrics are at the moment are too unrealistic to synthesize (although I have tried a few times). I have some ideas on how to get around that, but it would take a bit of development which I'm not sure I will have time for. Since the files are so small and are Fl Studio native, I have shared the project files, feel free to check them out, they will open with a free demo of Fl Studio too.

Oh, your FM and programming skills are top notch, no doubt. I'm aware of your project files and usually download them when I browse through your material. I've been planning to check FL Studio since it also runs quite fine on Linux as I've been told, though I'm a little scared of entering another rabbit hole.

You seem to be quite disciplined when it comes to stick to certain methods and techniques. Frankly I'm quite amazed how you balance real life and art, putting such quality every week. I'm hardly keeping up with the community this year, but you always deliver.

So thank you for sharing your projects. It's really a generous gesture and one of the reasons WB is such a great place to hang out !!!
