Brain Pain

Download the 68KB project here!
My brain trying to come up with a title minutes before the rendering and deadline be like:

Vocal synth modeled after my own voice.

Love the pitch play, rhythmic stutters/repeats, drum fills, and all the synths. Truly killer groove. You have lots of ideas here but they mesh together well.

Pop that lock and shake that break!

definitely enlightening disco-funk. so much cool effects on the vocals, too. great track, sir.

These sounds of anguish have a nice beat to them
- Ebrit

cute - hope your brain recovered

Is that what this is? I have no idea, what comes out is what comes out!

The only pain is from the lack of brain!

Thank you as always!

Robotic funk, I love the usage of pause in this one and how it affects the dynamic in the track. Energy boost!

Definitely can empathize with the near-deadline drudgery. Track turned out great though! big_smile

holy heck, that solo that starts detuning is so sick.

excellent "FM radio" filtering as well.

get ready for a deluge of comments from me - i'm listening to them in reverse release order tho ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

that sustained lead synth at 2:43 is very delicious.  I hear a lot of detuning all over this track, are you doing this by hand or LFOs to automate detuning?

I'm always shocked by how many ideas are in a single one of your songs.  I usually have like......6 max.  This has like, 20 at least

oh god why did you post that I've wasted hours of my life looking at that!!!  BRAIN PAIN!

all those snazzy splashes of synth magic are so satisfying, and then when the running staccato 16ths start, provides the perfect accent to all these stuttered vox, so beautiful!

Yeah, I need to remember to name my tracks earlier so it's not last minute scramble!

It's funny that you think there is a lot of ideas here, when writing I always feel like I'm just rewriting the same song over and over and over again. Every song I write just jumbles up the same 20 tricks! Listening to it now I guess it feels fresh, I guess it's just a matter of perspective.
Also, thanks for comment bombing me! I love your comments, but maybe next time we can just talk about music over pizza? It would be way tastier!

Thank you! Yeah, it turned out a bit better than I was expecting really!

I can get her to change directions in my head, although I usually have to look away where she is in my peripheral. This one is also good!

Your brain pain is our ear gain!  So many tasty packets of ear candy throughout.  Love the paddy melody that gets opened up midway.  Very cool!
