Bee Force Battles - Bumble Brigade

Another Bee Force Battles track! You are just being a bee in the overworld when all of a sudden a mega boss appears! It's Man-Santo Bot (925001xp), and it nearly destroys you with a chemical blast! It has to beat it's quarterly earning projections, and that means you pal! Luckily you remember you can summon your buddies, the Bumble Brigade! Working together you defeat Man-Santo! Or did you?

Found the rallying part of the song in my WB 2018 week 13 folder. I must have started it, but couldn't figure out how to finish it and went with a Pizzaville song instead. This time around I had too many ideas for it! This is obviously a port to the SuperBeeBox Family Consolette, which has many more oscillators than a NES.

Well this game sure looks buzzworthy. big_smile

Love the funky beats! And this is like multiple songs in one. Damn I'd like to be that good.

Either really good or really stupid! I'm betting on the later!

Haha! yeah!

Oh wow. It's all really good, but woah that noise channel! You are slicing it up like sort of dang ninja!

Also that little game over/high score sting at the end is :chefkiss:

Heheh. “Sting” at the end. Heheheh.

Killer bees or killer bears?

I love the noise cutup especially, feels like a bit-crushed turntablism, so seductive to the ears, and the overall progression proceeds with a sense of epic narrative heart

Yeah, I had a lot of fun with it!

A full composition with movements, in NES music format. And with a gif based music video courtesy of ilzxc. This is epic. I love the grove of the 1:10 section - this is like NES breakbeat territory.

Not quite NES! Faux NES oscillators, faux SID pulse width modulation, faux Linn drums, and a way more chordal voicings than any system at the time, and 100% Sytrus, so this is very much fakebit!
Check out the first Bee Force Battles track for a real NSF!

That YouTube video was hypnotic! The fact that this week’s fakechiptune track is all sytrus is all the more impressive!

Holy smokes, that's probably more time that I allocate for WB! (lies)

I will forever spend 3% of my WB time writing music, and 90% complaining I don't have enough time to write music. The other 7% is spent finding the perfect gif for everyone's tracks.

It certainly was unbeelievable!

gosh do i love how that main bassy synth sounds with those hi hats interplaying about at 2:20.  So many cool moments that make you experience that game feel.  Awesome melodies!

Thanks!
