Bee Force Battles - Basic Blade

By Ipaghost on March 25, 2018 11:55 pm

Decided to dust off my Famitracker and pull out this track from the not-so-famous Bee Force Battles. A game where you are bee amongst an elite team of tactical bee bruisers. It is literally impossible to get past stage 1.
Grab the NSF here.

Bee-autiful! (see what I did there?) Whee, but for realz, so fun and upbeat - unlike those bee bruisers, sheesh!

Awww yeah! thanks! i like it weird!

Another joyride. Thank you very much for that excursion.

Love how you let your leads open up and ring out, tough to find real estate to do that on chip mediums with limited channels. (!!) That slow-down in the latter half too, unexpected and totally great!

Thanks! There is actually a lot more I wanted to do with the melody, I should have started earlier than the day before! It's kind of a fun puzzle trying to fit everything in.
At first I was going to use the expansion chips for the 7th chords, but after hearing it, just didn't sound like classic NES to me, the limitations really define the appeal. The slow down was also a happy mistake of me not changing the speed back after the breakdown, but I ended up liking it a lot! It was closer to the speed I originally wanted the track to be at.

My dude, is there any type of music you can't do well?  I'm not convinced!  Great track!  So is Bee Force Battles an actual game?!

Legend has it the game is so rare and hard, no one has ever heard the soundtrack until the ROM was hacked.

Sounds like a challenge.

You just might be a bad enough dude to do it too.

Sweet and relentless!

Everyone gets bees!

Mad skills, dude. I almost got attacked by bees when I was out for a jog on Saturday, and this would have been the perfect soundtrack.
