Congrats everyone on your first month and fourth weekly beat!

This week was a bit of a struggle for me, it's 4am the morning before deadline and I just finished.
A few iterations this time, started out kinda analog hiphop but ended up as this somehow.

I got a new toy (Roland SoundCanvas SK-88 Pro) and couldn't help but use it in this for the cheesy guitars and pianos and pads. Drums are on Rytm mostly using stock samples. Arranged on the Octatrack.

It really does go from rap to all over the world, bit of rock and bit of Egyptian.

Love the guitars all over the track, even if they're cheesy!

Very atmospheric. What's driving the compression? Works well with the airy drum samples.

I really like those drums with the gated reverb on the snare. It sounds super big. Those cheezy guitars really sent me back to the 90's, it is a contrast with the very nice sounding pianos and drums.

Congrats on first month completion as well!!!

Cheers, it's all Octatrack compressor, pretty sure I disabled the Rytm's one.

Drum programming is tight on this. Sounds almost live in parts.

Nailed the melancholic trip hop vibe. Nice use of space with the guitar smile

Sound canvas guitars are great! Drums are really nice sounding here!

man this is dope really digging it man ! great work !

Sorry to hear that this week felt like more of a struggle for you. I really like the result though and look forward to hearing more this year! This piece definitely wandered around, but that kind of uncertain feeling is its own charm and gives me a prolonged ambiguous feeling while listening to this. Interesting and fun lead lines and nicely mixed/balanced parts.

Very good composition between all the sections - hell yeah @ the transition @3:09. Also yaay SK-88 pro gang! It really is conveniently packed with sounds for its size.

Well... let me know if you release FM instrument packs wink

Siiick progression. That lead guitar sound at 1:45 gives me Dynasty Warrior vibes. That bass fits so nicely within everything else.

Nicely done! 👍
