excellent. the cool, dark space this evokes sounds like heaven right now. I love the distant "dub" chords around 0:35. the feedback textures around 1:00 and 1:30 are so lovely. especially at 1:42, it feels like they're trying to reach into my memories and pull out something I haven't thought of for years. makes me want to watch a horror movie, which I mean as a compliment because they're my favorite
A little tense. I’m glad it’s daytime. Everyone really leaning inyo ambient soundscapes this week. I have to try now too.
The hike back to the cabin was much more difficult than I had planned, I could swear I was being followed but might have just been the wind. Seems like the generator is out again, and looks like a storm is coming in over the mountains, time to put another log on the fire. There is a knock!
awesome

^ha! yes! i agree with every single word there about this track
i’ll just add this:
...Kinda speechless at this image as response to mine, so I'll say "thank you a lot, more than you know" for now.

I dunno how our tribe's supposed to do anxious bits when most of the things we make in the good times are bumping w/ anxiety and noise. But horror movies vibe I will gladly take -- a "joy out of fright" seems like a good counterpart to a "bzzzz out of rest."
Yeah, you're right...
A dark atmospheric track. I hope everything is fine.
Thanks -- things are okay, just some work stress + sleeping issues + own music frustrations / false-starts. Nothing major, to the best of my knowledge, just the usual turbulence. Going to try be less shit at answering to kind people who listened to my stuff, though!

Had no time to listen to this week's entries yet, but ambient soundscapes kinda sound on-point for this week, I think. Also, done w/ Severance Season 1, loved it to shit, best new TV I've seen in ages -- kind of cuts deep beyond the obvious "corporate setting" aspects. Can not thank you enough for recommending it!
very creepy. love the fragile drones you created here.
Thank you for both "creepy" and "fragile" words here!

Whoaaaa, I'd never come up w/ such an image, but 100% with you on this -- thanks
I considered "mask" as a title for this...
Quality dronin
Cheers, man, hope things are all good w/ you.
Beautiful i'm feeling it! how did you make this?
Thank you for listening! Been burned out on WB and very busy at work and at home, this is all software made in Ableton w/ one instance of Jasno and another instance of Lekko (from Felt Instruments) -- I think this is the first ambient production this year that isn't a guitar pedal experiment. Magic ingredient is BACKMASK from Freakshow Industries (one on each instrument, tuned not be too obvious) that does some weird things w/ delays (you can hear it most w/ little clicks at the end, which are done by setting attack to 0 on Lekko, and delaying arp clicks irregularly through BACKMASK).
FELT INSTRUMENTSSSSS
I swear I'm going to buy them before 2023
UGH, i'm so behind on correspondence, but I really miss you buddy, hope you are doing well.
also, this is really calm but REALLY creepy. Like creepy woods during the day.
thanks for that cool screenshot
Lovely distortion ambient. This calm but not steadying place, it can disappear soon as the candle. A good place for other ghosts. The noise almost is soft rain and peaceful to listen I think. I'm happy you still make a song this week
Love the crushing textural quality to this track. Capturing a great atmosphere of darkness. Freaky buffer glitch sounding ending too.

Hi, remember me? Man, it's been a crazy busy time on my side of the computer screen, it sucks not being able to participate properly: I was counting on a calm July, and went hard in June thinking "it'll be over soon" only for things to get more crazy in July, which I think made exhaustion worse. Oh well, in the last two days feel like I'm coming back up for air, but am being cautious because I don't want to believe it.
Creepy is okay / anxious is okay. The "nice name, unsettling sound" naming scheme (see "embrace") I feel is good.
Miss you too, hope we'll get to catch up sooner than later

Hi! Thanks so much for listening! Relieved to see that your tracks were not yet removed -- I've downloaded Millie's Castle last week (the heaviest waltz I've heard in a while -- love it!) and I also enjoyed Moon Jellyfish Blooms (those pads are pure cotton! What I've _not_ heard until today is A Cenote Dive, which I think is magical and kinda perfect.
(I think I did miss week 27, although I have two tracks that the system tagged "26" -- one is synth jam and the other is "321003271")
And thanks for your warm words -- I really like "a good place for other ghosts" (makes me think that in spite its tension it's more welcoming than not).
This weeks a bit spooky! Like being abandoned on the arctic tundra. Sound of wolves carried on the wind. It's not going to end well.

Thank you for listening also and the nice message! I don't have 26 now I think. 27 Ocean Library is in my Self-Portrait now
Spooky, but also has that sense of just sounds out there in nature, like a forest, wind doing its thing that seems spooky and first, until you get used to it and accustomed. A tone that seems unatural, but it's a ree groaning, or animal sounds bouncing off canyon. Can you tell I've been outside a lot lately? Maybe that's all a setup to horror film actually - cool sound design in the end. Hope rest was had ...
