Was making samples for myself, at some point realized they sounded more compelling w/o a beat. No M8 in this version, but I'm sure the content I made for this will resurface in the coming weeks, maybe sampling this, maybe not.

Sounds made w/ Felt Instruments' Lekko and Jasno and a tiny little bit of Helenko. Recorded into and mixed & assembled in Ableton.

Granular vibes - killer acoustic sounds. Keep em coming

Really nice piece with lots of character. The soundscape and melody drags you in. I like how it ends minimalistically.

Very winter time. I feel sad and cold all of a sudden. Sounds epic.

I love the tone of this- I'd feel compelled to add some lyrics on top of it

Great moment of clarity at 1:10 when the granules subside! I'm imagining some strange timelapse of something growing and finally emerging to this track

Sounds like a possessed music box!

Randomness but sequenced Melody. Fav.

Have a fact: Music boxes were the OG piano roll IRL, back in like 13th century or so, and are quite possibly the first ever means of owning music ever, which warms my heart that it was kind of a tracker-like "code + sound-generator" -- bonkers AF how modern that is, they didn't come close to capturing music in reproducible way for like 600 years after those, until player pianos & recording took off...

Neat what people hear, to me sounds kinda like balalaika (Russian instrument) music in a way.

You can take a kid out of Russia ... smile Thanks for listening, man!

Woot, thanks! I would love to produce a (subtle, weird, psychedelic) folk tune sometime this year, if you're feeling up for a collab! (I'm still getting my footing w/ this WB thing trying to balance it w/ work stuff, but if I can manage being reliable, maybe, yeah?

interesting soundscape! I've been meaning to explore granular synthesis

This is incredible.  I love the ambience you created with these sounds.

Haha! I feel the same way- it sounds like a cool idea, but it depends on if I can get a hold of myself too. Maybe in a couple months? We could keep it really loose

All that texture in the background, then the lower part drifts out of the fog at 0:38―super cool cool

This I think nails the vibe perfectly heart

Thanks for listening and for noticing, soft tune, still sidechaining 'cuz old habits die hard.

Aw thanks, I jammed your tunes in the car and loved them, but haven't had a chance to post -- 5th week rush!

Granular synthesis is a lot of fun, but all the string chops are Felt Instruments' doing in this case, can't take credit. Thanks for listening!

It's like you read my mind! smile Looking forward -- take good care of yourself, we gotta make it happen in a couple of months! smile

absolutely terrific sound design!  relaxing and scary at the same time?

I feel that a lot of the credit is due to Felt Instrument sampling strange things using strange equipment and making unique-sounding things -- but that's my usual impostor's syndrome, what I SHOULD be saying is "thanks for kind words."

Love the atmosphere in this one. Interesting texture and effects too! smile

Very satisfying sound manipulation, chord progression, and conclusion. Favorite!

I am impressed of the variety of your work. This one is something special. simple and very beautiful.

Just crazy good
