Control's Descent Demo

By Ig0tw0rms.wav on April 17, 2022 5:12 pm

I uploaded a VGM version of this song a bunch of weeks back. This time I recorded real instruments for it. Still need to record actual drums and mix/master. I'm sure I'll upload the finished product when it's done.

boy oh boy those beautiful guitar riffs shimmer like ripples in a sunlit pond

man i love math rock - the drums sound great anyhow.

1:46 slow down was sick

Thanks, man. Appreciate it. yeah the drums are a good placeholder but they're programmed. Not the right move for this kind of stuff, imo.

I was super into this, I think it's really cool how the composition has all these interweaving rhythmic ideas that interlock together. The bass and guitar playing sounds really really good. I think you did a great job on the drum programming because the fills and patterns through out sound pretty varied and it definitely has an authentic feel to it for sure. Also the melody in the chorus section at 2:39ish sounds really good. I like the way that bend sounds

Thanks a lot, man.  I appreciate how thoroughly you analyzed it.  The drums feel natural because I played them with an enshrined kit then just fixed my mistakes.  I'll post it with real drums.  It'll get better.

Really sounds like a mellowed out version of an Endless Sporadic song. It's got all the flourishes of one.
