Also thanks a lot! Glad you like it 
For this piece, I just started with the sounds and then randomly put a melody into piano roll. Then toyed around which chords could fit nicely and that's mostly it (basically just improvising mostly and following some counterpoint rules which help when writing music as well).
I'm not really good at explaining my exact thinking when composing though, so I can't give concrete answers about that, sadly.
