Man your piano playing is bad ass. I love how you have some chord center and then just embellish the hell out of it in a way that sounds so tasteful. Are there any particular musicians that inspired you when you were learning to play?

Sounds like a song from the same late night piano bar that my last song was seeking. Dreamy, somewhat eerie vibes. Very cool. Like ViridianLoom, I like the flourishes in your piano play.

Thank you! I started with rock, highlights were Deep Purple, Pink Floyd, all kinds of stuff from the 70s, then I realized I loved when they did instrumental solos and wondered if there's music that's just solos. then I discovered jazz hahah. I listened to all the greats, always sought to hear the best of the best which I consider to be Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, and then basically all the people they played with in their different combos, and then the people those other people played with, etc. But it's unfair to the plethora of others I can't begin to list. I always liked long songs, jam bands such as Medeski Martin and Wood, who just seem like they like to play for a long long time on some riff or theme.

I also went to a lot of concerts and tried to follow whoever I liked. Recently I've been going back to rock and pop and all kinds of genres and really keeping an open mind, to quote Quincy Jones or whoever said it, there's only 2 kinds of music, the good kind and the other kind, so I like to try to listen to everything and keep what's good. Genres are just marketing shit after all.

Dunno what to recommend at this point tho cause if you go on spotify it just gets random real quick. So maybe try some jazz radio stations since they're a bit more curated. For example I like nts.live they have some really nice curated playlists.

Dope! Thanks, gonna check out your tune smile I had even more eerie vibes in my Journey to the center of the silence track, but this one is like a 3 minute improvised version of that vibe. and also not at all like that.

There's a real nice feeling of spontaneity to this track that I like. Like it's just drifting the way it wants.

what a lovely way to say it's pretty random XD but thanks! it's def pretty spontaneous and a first take

I like the pianosound and of course the way you are playing and singing along. especially the ending has a nice hiss, just like from an old tape. Good job this week.

Love the detuned piano. I really like what you did to your vocals as well with the weird delay.

Sincerly hope it is gonna be allright... Not sure if I am optimistic or pessimist about that.

Anyways, cool track!

This is really nice! I love the improv. Were the lyrics improvisational also? Really relaxing

thanks! the lyrics were improvised on the spot, then I thought I could have at least tried a second take where I rhymed the middle part but then I said nahhhh. it's alright

very comforting words

Man, I love the vibrato on piano.  I don't think I've ever heard that done before, such a cool sound on an instrument that lacks that ability.

Excellent playing too!  I'm always very impressed by your performances.
