Guitar and voice for this one. A bit of a strange love song.

I came up with the guitar part first and worked on it all week, and I knew I was gonna run out of time but I couldn't help it. So I do what I always do and improvised some lyrics. I am afraid I will not end up writing the actual song now because these lyrics will stick, but hey. What is weeklybeats if not the experimental crash derby of wack songwriting. Enjoy and make love, not war!

hey both hands on the wheel!

Beat it weekly, that’s what I always say. This rules

I live for improvised lyrics on WB. I embrace the free flow of thought.

i really like this. it's not too bad if the lyrics end up sticking!

Thank god you both are excellent swimmers.

The lyrics made me laugh. There is definitely a free form thought association quality to them, and they are a bit weird. A little Tom Waits in there. That was a good track, worth multiple plays. smile

Hard to communicate how much I love this without sounding insincere, but Imma try. The genius of putting in the non-sequitur joke about the state of "our technologies" prior to the tragic-romantic ending is brilliant, but you do this throughout. (Begin the ascending chord on "your ...shoes?" and end the passage w/ "ridiculous" prior.) This fucking rules, favorited and downloaded.

I take my hat off. This is an extraordinary song. Love the fingerpicking guitar, the chordchanges and your voice and lyrics. Fantastic job.

This has a wonderfully nostalgic quality to it that I can't quite place; there's a fun sense of wandering to it, too. I love the guitar part, too. smile

thanks everyone for the wonderful comments! makes me so happy to know you liked it even tho it was born out of 3 brainfarts :-3
the guitar part is solid tho I have to admit smile
