PRECIPITATION

came up with this chord progression while improvising, tune kinda had to be this way. maybe the melody could be different but I tried to keep it very simple. there’s like a passing tone etude in the middle as well, my goal is to play it. actually I’d like to get a handful of these together to play live with like me and a bass player and the m8.

Marrying the guitar with the breakbeats makes for a very interesting juxtaposition. Sort of like acoustic Aphex Twin, or should I say Squarepusher! But then the JRPG lead takes it somewhere else. Despite the title this feels rather sunny to me. Or maybe it's Summer rain?

ooh big shoes to fill!  big fan of both of those artists though thank you!  the initial idea was very rainy & it was raining when I wrote it but you’re right that it turned out brighter sounding!
