I was trying a writing concept I learned last week. it goes:
-come up with a chord that sounds good for each measure on it’s own
-tweak or edit or delete the chords so they work together
-write melody phrasing just with rhythms not worrying about actual notes yet (i used a rimshot sample)
-look at the chords and edit the midi notes so they fit
-adjust as needed
