Kicking off his new project at the start of May 2013, James Hodson originally came from the underground scene of minimal and lo-fi 8-bit sounds. Creating electronic music on various platforms since the summer of 2006, James has overcome obstacles in; popular music, collaboration, net label signings and all else that has lead him to this fresh sound upon a new prospective ambition. With just a laptop, a copy of ripped software, some headphones and a head full of ideas, the world of music was ready to be exploited and reinterpreted to a level that matched your needs. From a bedroom surrounded literally by Game Boys, that alone is a step up in itself.
Coming from the west side of Greater Manchester and growing up in the M4 area rural of the county (as well as everywhere else), a needle-injected fuel and taste for good music was imprinted from the start. Early on exploring his musical interests as a child, James picked up inspiration from various bands of the 90s, and now bands of the decade before, and as time progressed the search for a more vicious sound became imminent. Hardcore punk has played a huge roll in his attitude towards creating music, with that DIY aspect holding so true to the morals of the lifestyle it helped once lead. When it comes to influence, era is not the issue for him, but the key to recreating music that can still to this day make the people feel good.
