continuation from week 10.

this week kinda crept up on me so I am grateful there was things in the vault I could cut/recut for this week.

I'm going to have to start releasing some of this stuff properly soon.

Thank you! It's very easy to get lost in eurorack.

Yeah, I can imagine! I've listened through your submissions here and some on bandcamp as well and I am really impressed, love your sound. Are you mainly using the rack throughout? Have you uploaded any image/video of the setup anywhere? Would be interesting to see.

That was a super chill track, it kinda moved between ambient and a type of film score sound (think maybe Annihilation).  Really like this one, will be very interested to see what your release choices are.

Thank you, sometimes it’s nice to have a breather from the more intense stuff. big_smile

Release choices are likely going to be EVERYTHING. Just need to decide the order and when.

Wow, thanks for going on an adventure - hopefully it was fun!

Eurorack is a new adventure. A few years ago I'd previously experimented with semi-modular however it's a very different experience.

All of the tracks on Weekly Beats this year are Eurorack recordings with minor Ableton editing / post-processing. Ableton is used to cut out the bits which didn't work or add the occasional glitch / sound cut.

Regarding my current bandcamp releases:
- Circadian was a TB03 and a MXR300 reverb pedal recorded into Ableton. No layers, just pushing both devices to their limits.
- Lost was a remix I did for the Nu Metal project Memorrhage, done in Ableton
- Ritual Fracture was using one or two Ableton instruments, run through a bunch of LFO/modulation (It was what made me start really considering Eurorack)
- continuum was a couple of Ableton projects.

Whether it's eurorack or Ableton, I like working with a small number of options and seeing how far I can push the constraints.

Regarding setups etc best places to check would be my modulargrid account (https://modulargrid.net/e/users/view/156482), the current 'noiseforge palette' setup is very close to what I used for Week 17/18. Only additions/changes being a Korg SQ1 (everyone needs at least one) and the quadratt wasn't there, it was using an intellijel Steppy.

Sometimes I'll post stuff to instagram @hieroglitch
I'm not really using IG too much at the moment, that might change in the coming months though.

Let me know if you've got anymore questions, happy to share what I can. Best places would be discord or Instagram.

Here's also fine, just might take longer to respond.
