Really cool experience this week where I just reduced the number of modules I was using, back in a smaller case.

Manis Iteritas being pushed with modulation from the Serpens Ara and a Korg SQ-1. Lots of sequence messing around. I don't use melodies often, however it was nice finding a good one with the Pam's Pro.

This was part of a huge hour long recording, it was really hard deciding what to release for WB, and what might be used for a future release.

Less is more.

This is such a cool journey. I'm fascinated at how people are able to extract actual music from modular setups. The initial learning hurdle seems so intimidating.
Anyways, awesome trip you took me on, thank you for that!

There's something guitar-like about that initial arp. Sounds like it's about to turn into full-blown metal. It does build up to a distorted riff, we just need some heavy drums to seal the deal big_smile

It's a cool soundscape as is, and the "industrial ambient" genre designation definitely makes sense here.

you're very welcome. week 43 is part of the same recording and builds on it. I've really enjoyed re-listening to it this week.

RE modular setups - I find it easier than using normal hardware because you can see all the routing/controls through the patch cables. I think it's all about finding the right modules too though. Everything you hear in this recording is the Noise Engineering Manis Iteritas (really angry sawtooth wave voice) being run through the Electus Versio (delay/reverb combo) and then being squished by the librae legio (think a compressor/saturator).

That's it really, just modulate the hell out of manis iteritas big_smile

I'm not sure if there's -enough- distortion though. Maybe there needs to be more big_smile

Your description makes sense though - I came from a lot of metal growing up etc so it makes sense to come through in what I do now.

Glad it's a fitting description!
