First time trying my hand at drum and bass, with acceptable results I think. Definitely a lot of energy in this track! There's a bit too much going on perhaps. The bass is a wavsynth saw, all percussions are the standard M8 samples, bells are my usual fmsynth patches, and there's two synth samples for more fun. BPM=160… for the most part :-).

More than acceptable. Bells are great. The little trill with them gets me every time. I don’t think there’s too much either. I get the point where you’d think that, but I think the most it needs there is space… panning or eqing or something… but for all of two bars when it’s full bore.

The problem with 160bmp is it tends to feel like 80bpm. This feels relaxed because of that. Maybe not a problem as much as it is a solution.

That super low gritty bass with the very tinkly bells is SUCH a cool choice. I really enjoyed the more melodic sections at around 1:45, super fun!!! Nice job!!!
