Tentacle Jungle Hellbreaks

This was fun. I found a great video from the The Messy Desk YT channel talking about breakbeat slicing and with a bit of trial and error, this was the result.

Everything is from the Octatrack, with plenty of recuts and arrangements in Ableton. I did have a few extra layers in to give it some extra energy but all the glitches are in the Octatrack, using EZBOT's tutorial.

I have had a love/hate relationship with the Octatrack over the years, and recently, it is become more of just a love relationship.

Shoutout to 0F for his consistent patience with answering all my questions, and the quarterly "I am going to sell my Octatrack" conversations which never resulted in me selling the Octatrack.

Also, if you want to give feedback on how I can improve in this genre, please share what you can. I've been making music for what seems the longest time and it's only recently I've started to get a grasp on this genre.

it's weird, I struggled to like the Octatrack/Elektron workflow for so long but recently I've realised it's my preferred workflow and now I prefer it.

Definitely get an Octatrack. Or anything Elektron makes.

I have a digitakt and model:cycles and I love them both.  I still don't really understand what you can do with an Octatrack!  it looks like a magical sound box with a slidey thing and buttons.
