What a week.
Getting prepped to start the teaching again for the year. Got a new lease for a new house which means a not-garage studio for me, yay.
Also been exploring SCAMP (a Python library for composition), and thought I'd figure out some MIDI stuff and actually quite like the output. It's a lot more constrained than regular generative stuff, especially for me, with repetition with variation and all kinds of things. It even spits out a score via abjad/lilypond, which is rad, and gives me some inspo for maybe a long solo clarinet piece or something. Or viola. Mmm...

Synthy. This is all Live with minimum post-production because time/cbf.
2x Surge mapped to different MIDI ranges, and heaps of delay and reverb. So much.

Will probably do another piece like this but for anologue synth(s) when I move house.

I think we must have been on similar ambient wavelengths this week. I did do the analog synth though as you mentioned.

That software looks really interesting. If I had time, I'd actually try it out but I don't like my chances. Back to teaching for me too. Man, so much organising!

There's something about ambience with microtones that just goes with "I don't have time."
