Came up with a fun riff on the acoustic guitar. Challenged myself to write lyrics. Took some imagery and feelings from old stories and tried to make them work. Not quite as bad as I thought it would be. Need to be more confident with my voice. Kind of. I think of the vocals as a placeholder.

Nice chill guitar song. Now that I read the tags, I wish you had included the sound of the waves! Also I could not really hear the singing though this interesting mix makes it feel like a background music for a cool beach afternoon. I like it. Nice playing.

You make so nice relaxing songs. The singing sometimes is too quiet to hear your lyrics, but it is a good melody to the guitar smile A great on the beach song!

So nice! The chords have just the right amount of bittersweet chromatics. The vocals are great!

I know how you feel about the voice thing, just be confident and remember that your voice sounds great to everyone other than you! Great track, very relaxing. smile

Very sweet.

your guitartones are amazing. The vocals are very pleasant. This has a positive Nick Drake feel to it. Supergood.

Your voice sounds great; I wish it was louder in the mix! Really nice and chill vibe, great harmony smile

I like the acoustic guitar sound and like how you can sometimes hear your fingers sliding on the fret board.  Gives it a nice intimate atmosphere.  I agree with everyone else, your vocals sound good, but I wouldn't mind having them just a tiny bit up in the mix.

I don't know if singing where you are is also a turn off, as it is for me, where a few people can hear me, but your soft voice could work really well atop your tracks. See if putting the mic closer to your mouth than the guitar and see if that doesn't catch the quiet voice atop the guitar. Something I thought of after hearing your song, listening to Ed Sheeran a couple of times on a 6 hour drive. His voice is quiet sounding in some tracks, but the volume sits atop or on par with the track.

I agree with Q-Rosh, getting some cool Nick Drake vibes with your guitar.  You have a good voice for this, I would just try and raise it a decibel or so.  I need a hammock and margarita now!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm not very confident when it comes to singing, so I was surprised everyone had nice things to say, and I really, really appreciate it. I think one of my favorite things about Weekly Beats is just how open everybody is to ideation and experimentation, and also just how important that is to discovering new things and growing. Thanks to everyone for commenting, because you're helping me to slowly become a better musician. smile
