I didn't spend as much time on this track as I wanted, and there's a lot I would like to spend a little more time on (drums, I'm looking at you). I was trying to play with chords but couldn't find the sound I wanted, so turned to a gentle arpeggio pattern and then this happened. I arrived at the different sounds while I was in transit—in cafes, on the train, at the park—so the end result is a bit haphazard, perhaps. Still, when I think about it, this track encapsulates a lot of what I've learned over the past year: the subtle use of effects to create a floaty and lo-fi vibe, the layering of sounds to create atmosphere, and a little movement in the rhythm and melody. So it's not bad in that sense, even if it still feels like a first draft.

This is a good start for a very interesting track. I like the sound you used for drums, it has a slight harshness that contrasts with the very light melodies.

Very pretty.  Almost an underwater vibe about it.  I think the drum sound is probably one of the better one's you've done?  Well the most fitting for the song at the least.  Doesn't come across as haphazard at all.  Nice one.

Yeah I think the drums work well actually.  Overall there continues to be a relaxing lullaby type of feel to this that makes for a very chilled out vibe.

First draft feel or not, it's a relaxed track. We always hear what we didn't want a track to be, but we don't always hear the great things the track has become. This is a a fluid track that continues developing upon everything you've been learning.

What a soothing and peaceful melody. Nice work!

Yes, has good feel and nice sounds. Like the drums and synth sounds. A good draft could be built out, or not

I had a track once that sounded rough, underproduced and muddy but there was something magical about it. Then I totally re-did the whole thing and spent forever on it and, well, I ruined it. I managed to suck the soul out of the track. This track has a warm soul, don't ruin it.

I feel a little melancholy vibe in here. Nice track. I like it, as it is.

Very nice Rhoady sounds, I do like those arpeggios a lot.

I agree with rdomain, I was getting some underwater feelings too with the laid back arp.  The drums are a nice touch and give it a nice progression in response to the arp.  Well done!

I have used a sample from this track under the Creative Commons license for my upcoming track this week (i.e. week 51) entitled v50sverm. I think the link will be generated as https://weeklybeats.com/trumbuthegn/music/v50sverm and if that turn out not to be the case, I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for the inspiration! ヽ(⌐■_■)ノ♪♬

This wavy sound on the melody gives a peaceful water feeling. I really enjoy this soft bells part on 1:42. A lovely song.

This really is lovely. Sometimes the "first draft" really captures something anyway. I could definitely listen to a record of tracks like this.

This got a very nice 'mature lullaby' quality to it. I really like the lofi drums! Great track!
