The Raptors of Nankeen

By haleja on February 21, 2026 3:21 am

Nankeen Kestrels are small birds of prey. I was fortunate enough for one to land in my backyard where I was absolutely mesmerized by its stunning plumage. A far step up from the sparrows and pigeons usually hanging around, that's for sure.

Anyways, another week another song! Finally starting to feel like I'm back in the groove of churning these bad boys out.

Yes, yes yes! Fantastic tones and mix. This just soars. There’s a little flavor of Joe Satriani  instrumental, but zero wankery is detected - this is melodic and awesome.

Wow, thank you! I'm legitimately stoked I avoided any wankery! haha. It's always on my mind when I record. When a song has a lead guitar "telling the story" it's an odd balance trying to play enough to keep it interesting but not so much is off putting. 🤘

Super energetic and very fun solo! Love it heart

This is awesome, I'm sure the birds agree.
