Home brand jam. Blue flavor.

I'm sad and numb.
I watched SNL last night and was subsequently exposed to 2 songs of Charli XCX.
Not quite porn, not quite music. The fact pop has devolved to whatever "this" is, is.. bleak..

In local news, I see a 4 chord dad rock band advertising festival shows, and a guy with <20 monthly listeners on Spotify hosting workshops on "How To Write Songs that Stand Out".
I wrote a very long, very negative spill about this, but being toxic is a fools errand so I removed it.
I'll summarize it simply as, when did music stop being about the music? and I'm jealous of people with the drive to make a career out of it [music], because I don't have it [the drive].

I said this week was gonna be midi to give my arm time to rest, well, Here's me playing average guitar for 3min.

Target audience..
I dunno..
Men in their 50's that haven't played guitar for 20 years, but used to really be into the rock scene?

Sounds like home to me. tongue

haha that's pretty awesome! big_smile
Thanks!

Guitar!!!! Yes please lol, while I feel you, we often forget that the more vapid pop music has existed since the birth of recording, Davy Jones and the monkees existed, so there has always been the popular, and the more interesting. Just now there is so much internet and tiktok etc avenues for the vapid, and similar channels for the weird, underground and interesting. What a time to be alive lol. I think in some ways that its never been better, we can get any style we want from so many places! Just keep cranking the geets, and enjoy writing cool tunes like this and we'll be happy in our corner of cyberspace
