Scum City Swag

I've got this whole narrative space for tunes that sound like they fit on neon-painted streets filled with ruffians and degenerates, lovingly titled Scum City. This track is imagined as walking around music, maybe when you're exploring the town for clues in an action RPG of some sort?

The tune loops twice, each with a different mix: for the first one, I leaned heavily on the Cassette VST for that lofi + blown-out kind of sound, which I do like, but I wanted to see how it sounded removed from that fuzz and noise, so the second one is generally cleaner with some cab simulation put on the bass to bring it forward a bit.

Anyway, thanks for listening!

Bloody drunken daze through neon haze, or somethin' like that.

It wouldn't be my first pick for the situation, maybe the guitar doesn't feels neon-painted streets, but it's a good pick for listening.

That's fair! I think that particular guitar with the heavy chorus and twang screams noir for me, which is sort of adjacent to the theme, but not traditionally a "neon 80s / 90s" instrument for sure.
