Weird abstract hip hop instrumental beat with strange percussion sounds, strange bass riffs and psych synth solo

Is this really the amazing Grillo? The guy behing that great wonky "one beat a day" Maschine made EPs and the Street Fighter ones I've banged loud ever since in my playlists?... Well, great funk as usual. Really glad to hear you here. Gracie Molto per di upload, Grillo!!!

Juicy, groovy and weird in a great way. Thanks for the track!

Instant head-bobber. Got that nice twang to it. Simple and effective. Keep up the good work!

Ahah man at first I thought you were talking about somebody else... I'm definitely not amazing but this comment made my day. I've been doing more sound design lately and actually trying new music styles, if you're curious you can listen to the entry under BLEEOOP here on weeklybeats. This is just a way to get back into making beats after a hiatus. :-)

Oh, man. I discovered the whole wonky experimental scene thought the "I Had U Ken" EP, so your music has a "special place in my heart" (and yeah, I discovered that before any JDilla or Flying Lotus, Daedalus or whoever, my word) smile

Actually I was quite "disconnected of the scene" at that time and thought "hey, this guy has got everything wrong! Why is he missplacing those kick drums?". Then after a while, I was hooked!

I'm glad you're getting back to the funk, thought I'm really interested about hearing you stepping into other styles. A pleasure, indeed.

The beat and the bass is marvelous! The lead is indeed weird but nice man...

I love the way this is like a funk beat played through a speaker in a tank of molasses.  At first jarring, and then after about 30 seconds, natural and inevitable.  Outstandingly disorienting!

Yeeeeaaaaaaah!

Excellent stuff.

Groovy as hell

supergood!

thank you, really really appreciated!

Mmm sweet sweet groove.

Love the start to this, especially the guitar riff sample, can’t place where I’ve heard it, maybe a Das Efx track?  Great job, excited to continue hearing your music each week

What sampler are you using?  Really love the style and and the execution is bang on.
