Back in moi day, we used to prank call via dial-up modem

A friend once turned their nose up and said to me that dubstep sounds like computers f..fornicating.

Pffft like that's a bad thing *eye roll*

Loving the dialup robot groove here. (Regarding the friend's dubstep comment...I'm remembering someone once saying that Autechre sounded like an office full of broken fax machines. I commented, "You say that like it's a bad thing.")

Those sounds will forever be printed in my head as anxiety-inducing. Dialup wasn't exactly cheap when I was a teenager, and the modem connection being loud made sure people in the apartment knew what I was up to. This made for rather nervous connection attempts late evenings when I wanted to talk to a girl I liked big_smile

Fun idea to make a track out of that.
