Dementia Knew

By gesceap on October 8, 2022 4:30 am

Imagine having dementia, mixing the old and the new.

Slowly losing oneself, ones mind.

Being aware of being unaware of losing what you knew.

Great bass, disturbing premise.  By that definition, I might have dementia.  Now where did I put my keys?

That's the truest horror
- Ebrit

I love the play with lyrics here: the track definitely holds a familiar rhythmic feel but then takes us into many new and slightly discomforting spaces, it’s such a beautiful meditative affect that keeps my mind ready for change(thank you for this effect heart) smile

You never really knew where they were though right?

This really would be a nightmare for me, losing myself slowly.

I tried to keep the parts changing slowly but not enough to be "jarring". I'm glad you feel it.

I don't know if it would be worse for me since there're more of me

damn this sh*t is so good , nice work gescaep

The track's amazing, fav + download. Really partial to the warmly / unstable vibrato chords, e.g. 2:16.

And man dementia sucks. Shouldn't extrapolate, would be a bummer of a comment.

I do like this one, I put more time in it. Drums always feel too loud. The vocals a def too loud, but this is weeklybeats

It's real shit. This is real life. I want to express that. I can't even understand, but I may one day.

the second time through I let those vibrato chords play a little more, works well, more depth and variation.

There's so much in this one. Definitely unsettling, but very compelling, couldn't stop listening, had to see where it went.
