Sitari - Blind Race

By george bowles on July 21, 2012 6:58 pm

didn't have much time this week, and was developing a track that used so much of my system resources I couldn't even listen to much of it, hence the title Blind Race. did not know how this would turn out, and a previous render was just silence with a few pops and clicks that sounded horrible. but arrived at this pretty cool glitchy piece that sort of devolves as it goes. this piece is in 15/8 time.

Madness I tells ya, madness!  End section is my favourite part.

i love this. it's kinda hypnotic. love the transition at 1:42ish.

the beginning part I picture this weird cartoonish march

newer version that has slightly altered composition that I have convinced myself makes more sense http://soundcloud.com/theislandrecordinggroup/sitari-blind-race

This would be cool to dance to if you had 15 legs. Or multiples thereof. Creating something hypnotic out of these noises is interesting. Really like this.

thanks! yeah it is a weird feeling listening to this, it is sort of catchy but weird at the same time. I think that's the main challenge with these weird randomly derived time sigs I have been getting. my favorites have been this one, 5/4, and 7/12

ravers would love this dropped at 3am at a night club when they're all mashed off their faces. *EVIL GRIN*
