Psychic Attack - Marshland Harshmellow

By george bowles on July 6, 2014 4:28 pm

my improv psychedelic rock band in Chicago... we have already released a trio of albums recorded at an artspace you can hear here at http://psychic-attack.bandcamp.com and this is a preview of our next album recorded at a different space and using different recording methods. 2 basses, one guitar, and drums.

Would be cool to see live I reckon.  Have you guys done any actual studio recordings?

(Although psychedelic rock isn't necessarily my cup of tee) Man, i have to admire your musical diversity!!!

I love when a track is so different from what I expect as I am listening to this week's tracks!
Far away from what I usually listen to these days, but it sounds like you're a band I would enjoy to see live. A lot of cool things going on in this track.

we do all live recordings, but the album after this is more of a studio sound... I wish we could play out live more often but schedules are busy and our drummer can't play some venues which holds us back (he has made some enemies I guess). I play the main bassline... I fudged a bit but it was improv and i'd like to do something with the main riff, if i can figure out what i was doing.

my musical diversity reflects me as a music fan... i have a very broad array of music styles in my collection and love a lot of different bands, despite genre and all that. I have become a pretty decent bassist. I have both a p-bass and a jazz bass from fender and like the ampeg sound.

thank you, playing live is nice, but a bit of a pain sometimes and it's a crapshoot to see if anyone is out and about. usually not big crowds but one of my other bands played out a couple weekends ago to a bigger crowd, which was fun and exciting.

This is not my genre so dont really know what to say:) but I like more the faster parts at the end.. and as rdomain said this could be cool live.

digging those crunchy chords! nice job!

thank you! yeah, i'm really proud of my bass tone and distortion, it's a jazz bass. I originally was a guitarist so I play a lot of chords on bass.
