am radio recordings recorded in my recovered stolen van prior to turning it into a doner van for my new van ran through a guitar distortion pedal. 2 midi guitar tracks. plus wavedrum!

Woah. Intense, and quite fun (an unusual combo, I know)...

unusually fun i think means i am coming from the heart here, thanks!

danceable! (theoretically. I'm very much sitting down at the mo). I may have to slide this back and have another listen cool

i have been having trouble detecting this myself. i'm not sure if it is some kind of weird mashup, or more like some kind of slightly looser version of flying lotus, or what. it seems futuristic funky but on some kind of fastforward warp. maybe that's what we're all on these days.

Dig the juxtaposition of the static-like sounds and what almost sounds like insane disco music.

thanks! i'm thinking i will work on this style more, my first stab at it!

Your music is like freejazz to me. Even your political attitude seems correct, when I notice the title.
It was not easy to find into the song, but I noticed I was sucked into the swirl after a minute and feld a warm embrace by your sonic creation. Great power.

i think this captures how i feel turning any political news on these days...great soundtrack to the madness!

wow, i really appreciate your comment! yeah i am coming from a place of free jazz and living in chicago since 1997, i was almost instantly thrust into checking out live avant and experimental stuff because of SAIC/art school. studied sound and my teachers at the time brought in some european jazz mavens, and even steve albini.

as a not very focused and more big picture type of mind (INTP) i usually work better in groups as some kind of underlying organizational factor, so when i go solo my stuff sounds pretty detached and weird.

this also kind of reminded me of the Flying Leutenbachers' computer edited albums, somehow, and i have been very influenced by this young guy Mono Neon lately who was the late Prince's bassist recently. He mimics sounds/conversation with his bass playing, which has an underlying classical structure of fusion.

I think when you get down to it the roots are in me being a big Meat Beat Manifesto fan (hence the political and noisey stuff) who happens to like free jazz and improvised music. many things I hear sound way to robotic and structured so I try to bring in some chaos and life to it.

me too! I think I will wrap it up in the coming weeks so it can be out a week or two before the election results. I have like 1 or 2 more pieces for this album then probably some editing and mastering. not much time left since election day is like 6 weeks away!

What a trip in that van!

i had to start it with a screwdriver for a few days

Great track, lots of different things happening throughout, but still it feels like a coherent piece of music. Love it!
