Clarity in the End

By george bowles on May 23, 2024 5:03 am

I started this with a stereo output from randomized Hydrasynth + Expander plugin from Cherry Audio

This is completely in the moment, off the cuff improvisation. I played while I added additional channels of midi instruments and by the end there was even some mellotron going on, lots of layers emerge.

i'm back to my 7-8 minute wheelhouse of sonic voyaging madness. hope you enjoy! I did some post production on it too, to give it more texture and character.

the idea is that more things emerge / become clear while obscuring layers of textural weirdness are slowly removed each moment, reaching a clarity of complexity based on the one performance. technically no overdubs, just layers.

Inspiration: later half of Amon Tobin's works as he gets more and more weird and off the deep end into abstraction.

This is how a chemical reaction must sound like on a molecular level. An epic firework.
