Baba Deep - It Was A Good Run

read some scary articles about diminishing natural resources and came up with this dark track this week. how many times can technology save us? how far can it be pushed? what will the water wars be like in a couple decades? aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

damn, this is so reminiscent of the first Silent Hill OST and I mean that in a good way. love it.

also, what are the time signature changes? 15/4, 33/8, 7/8? or are those just polymeters?

it is just restarting the loop in spots... im not sure exactly what it equates to. this ended up being one of my favorite tracks of the year so far. kinda wanted the bass to be more massive at first but i still liked how it turned out. leaner and meaner might be better for this. used the nanotron melotron emulator an arp2600 emulator and bass station as well as a stock rock loop that cane with some midi gear.

thanks... i did think it had a post apocalyptic soundtrack vibe too, although i am unfamiliar with silent hills music.

very rough, scary, gritty feeling! Now i'm scared of the future, too...

excellent, that's what it was going for heh!

Great scary atmosphere, I like how the loop restarting contributes to the feeling of unease
