Tech Engineer

Had some good bouts of creativity hit on this throughout the week as I massaged ideas and humming and had a lot more potential rap lines than what made it in.

First weeklybeats I’ve done a lyrics first approach to, also my first one with lyrics in it.

I really enjoyed getting some acoustic guitar in.

As I'm in tech, too, I enjoyed the lyrics here smile "I swear it worked on my machine" haha

Quite an accomplishment to make an entire song within a week!

Haha classic tech problem.

Thanks, this is probably my strongest entry yet. I really like the chugachug acoustic guitar I got to do here. Tbt I did 80% of it in the week then got covid and was just sitting on it, so the vocals had to wait a bit for a late submission. Weeklybeats has been such a fun and inspiring creative outlet, I never would have thought I could do a song like this so quickly in the past. I thought I wouldn’t like it and that it would hurt creativity, but it’s so much the opposite it was ridiculous how wrong my intuition about weeklybeats was. It’s been a life changing experience to be under time pressure to do the whole process every time as I’ve dropped time consuming things that don’t have much impact to quality and have become a student of where the roi is doing the entire process again and again.

“Any color you like…” is particularly ironic coming from someone I now know is creative 🤣🤯

Indeed rules and limitations are creative tools as well I suppose 🤔

Many thanks as well

I was fortunate to listen to an advance copy of this masterpiece and must call out the acoustic guitar solo in particular as exceptional. However, the whole thing is great. All of the guitar layers and interplay throughout are neat, nice vocal harmony/interplay at the end, chorus melody is awesome, lyrics are hilarious, just needs some bass next time 😜

Haha, this is awesome. Really love the lyrics, especially when you go off on the "Yeah, there's times in the script" section. Also really cool how you showcased the acoustic during that section with the little walk downs, the tremolo picking, and the tasteful noodling. That was a really fun listen, glad I came back to check it out! smile

Some much good stuff in here! The theme, the chorus, the rap, the soloing! "Known good is soooo helpful!" Keep it up!

Nerd rap needs more rep. Killer guitar here.
