Emergence

This week I was trying to make something energetic and epic - inspired by Hybrid (UK band). I'd like to get better at making breakbeats. As it turns out I ended up spending a bit too much time on this and it essentially became a song without words, which explains why it's a bit repetitive! I wanted to have electric guitar for the lead melody, but I don't have one so I had to make do with my acoustic. Enjoy! d-_-b

I really like the mix in this, good use of the stereo field.  And yeah, I could totally hear it with lyrics, but it could also for underscore really well... like in a video game or movie where there is some amount of dialogue or sound effect.  Has a kind of driving fast on the freeway energy to it.

Hey thanks for the kind words about the mix! It might end up with lyrics one day, but as you suggest I can also see it working as soundtrack music - good thinking! :]

That was very enjoyable to listen to, thanks smile

This is so cool! I love the folk/synth vibes. It's mixed really cool too, how'd you get that great stereo effect?

Definitely an epic track! Really enjoyed the sound design in this, it sounds really wide and clear!

Thanks for listening! I don't know what I did to get the stereo wideness? I did record two complementary guitar parts and pan hard left and right, so maybe that's it? The higher register guitar part is panned right, but also has a short delay (24ms) that only bounces over to the left to try to get a stereo widening effect.

Very neat sounds.
