all cool. you should never force yourself or others into listening to good music. good music finds you automatically! I too barely listen to any stuff and I am not visiting music festivals or concerts that often anymore because it's nothing new and exciting to me anymore. sometimes it is but not as much as 3 year ago. even with weeklybeats I have to take some days until I am "ready" to listen to some tracks and comment. but that's perfectly fine. nobody expects you to comment or anything. the project is about you and the improvement of your skills and nothing else. fame actually has nothing to do in the world of creativity! it is just an unnecessary side effect.

click the "demo" button to download a free "player" version of the synth. the sounds are very diverse and highquality. if you register on their site, you get a few more free patches to play with

awesome!

hi there, is it possible to enable soundcloud BBCode in the song description? for license reasons, I am posting my music here with watermarks and offer a "clean" version via soundcloud. It would make it possible for the users on my song page to play the song right on that page instead of having to copy and paste the link and in effect, going away from the weeklybeats webpage. thanks!

Ham on Rye by Charles Bukowski. I love his blatant realistic style. Like a punch in the face! It's like READING dubstep.

ok so here is what I am doing now:

1. upload a watermarked file (you can use voxengo's free beeper plugin: http://www.voxengo.com/product/beeper/)

2. link to the soundcloud file via bbcode (example: [ soundcloud ]http://soundcloud.com/matas/hobnotropic[ /soundcloud ] )

how about watermarks?

another idea: giving the option of either uploading a file or stating an external source, e.g. soundcloud or bandcamp ect. so it generates the player dynamically

I started out with an AtariST and a program, called "Happy Music" which was developed by steinberg. later I used Cubase. tried a couple of alternatives inbetween, like cakewalk, sonar, live and logic but I've always felt most comfortable with cubase. I know it's a little complex at times. but for me it's the environment that allows me to work most intuitively. I think there are no good or bad DAW's. what matters what you do with the tools you have.
