Yeah I've missed only week 10 so far. This year definitely takes the cake for most amount of tracks I've done, although in 2012 i posted sporadically all the way up to Week 38 or something. I have a new job starting next week though, so that might "stick a knife" in my consistency thus far sad

All of my uploads are m4a but it seems like people are able to listen / comment so I don't know what's up. On both of the tracks of yours you linked the timeline freezes up for me and I can't scrub, but the track plays fine if I just let it be. I use google chrome if that's helpful at all.

in all seriousness i don't think there's a way to edit comments on tracks? best to just leave another comment in the thread explaining what happened + ur feedback on the track.

Ended up going w 7/8 for this week's beat, the most borderline-traditional yet non-traditional time sig.

Wait, I'm confused.. shouldn't we be deciding on the theme for the following week, not the current week?

I think gnarlysunshine was just late on confirming this week (all good btw, happens), but this thread started last week. Maybe we can choose the next two weeks' themes this time around in order to get the discussion going a bit further in advance and give us a week's leeway?

+1 nonstandard time sig, anything except 4/4 for week 3

I'm down w/ this, +1 from me #ban4/4 #jankygrooves

Since it's week three, I'd like to throw out the idea of writing tracks in 3/4. Or the theme could be triplets.
Otherwise I'm into the Double Time, Half Time idea.

idk if these are up anyone's alley, but TV Girl and Alpenglow just dropped new albums today and they're stellar and I highly recommend them!

looking forward to the new Teen Suicide. Lord Raja's PARA is probably my favorite release of the year thus far though.

usually I just sit down at my computer and start messing around and eventually something evolves out of it. whether it's finding a good sample, developing a cool sounding synth patch, or just noodling around on the keyboard and finding a suitable melody or chord progression. then it's just a matter of building and building and building, then arranging, and then mixing.

I feel so bad.
