sadistics

I missed out on uploading tracks during weeks 1 and 2 due to unresolvable hardware issues which saw me having to purge virtually my entire system and start again from scratch (via a bank loan).

"Team XX"??

Bleurgh.

I've had to totally reformat and reinstall everything once now and still a member of team xx

so bleurgh indeed.

sucks about the bank loan though.

I think the themes can be a good launchpad for ideas, but certainly don't have to be participated in to make a great track

if the themes are fun i go with them.  if not fuck it.

some of the projected themes are technically impossible for me.  the 4 part harmony idea seen above for instance.  effectively i have about a 3 voice synth.  realistically its less than this and my control isn't that great for sequencing.  i guess if i did some multitracking i'd be able to do more i don't so whatever.

way to fucking serious on here wtf guys.

I just realized that I do not own a good mic for recording. Hope you guys are okay with crappy sound, looks like I'll have to improvise and use my headset as a makeshift mic.

Edit: Also bouncy balls don't bounce on piano strings as well as I thought they would.

heart so cool

Use only 4 notes from a chromatic scale to make a song.

i did a four notes song last night using a modular synth.

set the quantized out of my sequencer to play only 4 notes then ran that into an oscillator as well as a sample and hold then to an oscillator.  oscillators are as tuned as i could get them.  i've never bothered trying to do tuned stuff and think i need to calibrate them so they don't wobble.

such a cool idea!
