Two weeks annual leave turned into two weeks sick leave which means I've still got two weeks annual leave up my sleeve. Haha Hoho.

I had tech issues (phone/modem not working) which meant I missed the deadline, may I please have an upload link.

Also, can you please tell me how long the l link will remain active for, I'm working the majority of the rest of the day.

Thank you, heart

If I recall correctly. ada lovelace was the first computer programmer

..something like that. Because of the work/footnotes she did on Charles Babbage's Analytical Engines.

In good form, the US Department of Defence named a computer language after her – Ada.

I've heard of Lovelace too, but am not familiar with her music.

It's like Nadia Boulenger (or however it's spelled), massive impact on 20th century music, but hardly talked about in favour of Bartok et al.

Haha big_smile She wasn't a composer (as far as I'm aware): http://www.sdsc.edu/ScienceWomen/lovelace.html

I threw her name in for good measure.

I've never heard of Boulenger. neutral

Gorgeous.

(We also looked at Clara Rockmore... performer, not a composer).

Mmm...how many people have heard of Daphne Oram? How many have heard of ADA LOVELACE?

During my entire undergraduate mus tech. degree we were introduced to the work of a total of THREE electronic/electroacoustic music composers (and note that the preface to each introduction began with a mention of their sex/sexual orientation – i.e. a&b are lesbians, c is now a woman). Very gay, indeed.

In any event, the real author of the 10 Rules was Sister Corita Kent and her art students at the time (did you check the link I posted?). I don't know about "genius", inspired, yes. heart

...Cage is still most excellent. big_smile

Today, in my body, I feel about 105 years old.

I haven't felt like this since before...

I love that set of rules for teachers and students.

I hate that it constantly gets attributed to Cage.

It was a good weekend for j8cking off, the sun was out on more than a couple of occasions. I did six loads of washing.

Sounds like a case of 'post-Blip Blues.' May I refer you back to your profile page for additional support: http://weeklybeats.com/#/ctrix

In any event, my own mantra in such instances (of which there have been several), goes something along the lines of: 61-seconds of something will suffice.
