Regular punters come with putting on awesome shows. There was no chipmusic scene in Melbourne three years ago, but we kept putting on shows that people loved so they brought their things. Its a cliche but if you build it they will come.

If anyone wants advice on putting on outside the box type shows, let me know. I have a document somewhere of learnings from putting on SoundBytes that would probably be useful to non-chip genres too.

Basically, I personally can't fix this, and I believe Trash80 is in San Francisco for the EFF show at  the moment, so its a bit hard to get hold of him. When I/we can get onto him, we'll try and get this fixed.
Poppi, wouldn't hurt to link
Unison, I can take almost no credit, but thanks anyway smile

In fairness, it's not the number of people who are contributing that make it more or less managable. I mean, this is only two songs that we're talking about that had problems. It's the number of people who are actually able to fix stuff like this, and that number is exactly one. We're trying to get it sorted, but it quite likely is related to the square brackets. Unison, did you have any out of the ordinary characters in your title?

We will usually email if a track has to get deleted, but sometimes it takes a while to get through.
When did you upload?

Hi when I click on my week 7 submission Miss Optimistic it skips to a different track. When I uploaded it, it said it was successful.
Thanks

Trash80 is currently probably in line to get on his Melbourne to LA flight so it may be a day or so before this can get looked at, we should be able to get it fixed though.

Unfortunately track checking (for problems like this) was a little more difficult than usual this week due to most of the admins being involved with Blip Festival Australia

So, if people are coming to this Blip Festival thing - be sure to set aside some time to come to the pre and post parties, and also whichever workshops still have spaces free.

The workshops with spaces are LGPT tracker that lazerbeat is running and the chipstory panel. The other two are booked up but there's a wait list for LSDJ
OH
and the open mic at the preparty (chip specific, but still)

Hopefully there's a great turn out for that too, but about a third (off the top of my head) of the lineup are weekly beaters so it has good meet up potential... even if it's a long walk - better hit the road folks!

I know a bunch of people who are involved in WeeklyBeats (either as artists or members) are playing Blip Australia next weekend or are attending. Be interested to know if anyone I don't know of will be coming along as a punter - might be kind of nice to have some way to know the other "beaters" in attendance?

Also if you are in Australia aren't coming, you should consider it - it's going to be an awesome weekend!
Non chip people check it out here

I don't know why buy my first upload as been deleted? It contained voice samples, but i think it's a bit late for deleted them?
And my last upload was also deleted for no apparent reason because there were no recognizable instrument?

Sphax - we try to always send an email - I did attempt twice to email you about your track this week but was having PC issues so I wasn't sure it got through (hence the twice) if you didn't recieve it I sincerely apologise

haha, i like how you figure out you're dreaming and instead of like flying to a harem, you go to weeklybeats.com

I dunno, I can appreciate - instead of dreaming about some sort of awesomeness I keep dreaming about things like forgetting to print the BlipOz tees. *sigh*

I don't use mine for making music, but I have Koss KSC75s, so can +1 a koss recommendation. They will last forever, esp with the warranty
