Thought it might be fun to do an occasional challenge or themed week. Nobody has to do it if they don't want to, purely optional. But for week 11, I'm going to try and do a dub tune which is pretty far out of my wheel house. Anyone care to join me?

Does anyone know a good tutorial as to how to go about creating dubstep? I'd love to take part but I don't know how to write something like that.

We are talking about dub. Not dubstep.

Stuff like this:

I think 50% of music related videos on youtube are dubstep-tutorials so you can find those pretty easily.

I would just listen to the hospital theme from Mother 2 on repeat if you need to figure out how to make dub

I'll try some dub.  I've been meaning to play my melodica with LSDJ, haha.  This is as good an excuse as any!

I didn't even know they were different things. This thread will immortalise my stupidity. When I'm a homeless 50 year old drug addict I will look back at that post and think "this is where it all went wrong".

I dislike reggae and I hate brostep (which is presumably what 90% of dubstep tutorials really are) so I think I'll steer clear of both genres for this week.
