Hi guys. I have only just heard about this site. But since January 1st 2012 I have been creating a song a week. Please check out my site: www.songaweekforayear.com to hear my 4 weeks so far (free downloads)

I'm going to start uploading my weekly tracks here also, it's just a shame I couldn't share my first 4 efforts on this site too.

Anyway, last year I did Song A Day For A Year, so I had 365 songs by the end of 2011. You can still hear them all here: http://sadfay.bandcamp.com

Cheers
Marty

Whoops. It appears I missed the deadline.

Oh well... I reckon this one is worth the wait.

hehe, cheers man! Yea. I just hope I can get on the ball with this next week. I tend to work right up to midnight Sunday. I don't like to rush myself if the track needs more time. That song 5 was about 90% done on Sunday night, but I'm so glad I didn't upload it then. It's a million times better for having those extra hours put into it on Monday evening.

Anyway... Where are your tracks?

On the front page of the site, click the blue square with the arrow marked 5, it will pull up all tracks submitted for week 5. The nifty little player will stream them all.

You can also listen to the previous weeks.

Your production are very good and very original!
At the moment even if they are not my favorite song of the site I think they are one of the best produced song!
Your visuals are very cool as well^^
With which soft are you drawing them?

Hey, my bad: I realise how easy it is now to listen to people's uploaded tracks and stream by week. This is a great site! Very nicely done.
Thanks Roboctopus.

Hi Sphax! Thanks for the compliments. I have been producing music for a few years, I think making a song a day last year has really helped me hone my skills.
The artwork for the Song A Week tracks are created by a good friend of mine called Adam Mc Causland: www.a-mcc.co.uk. He's an excellent graphic designer, photographer and music producer in his own right! He has volunteered to create an original piece of artwork for my songs each week, which is a really nice way to help me keep some sort of 'theme' or conceptual link between my songs.

@Phil. Yep. Cheers. I get that now. I've a feeling I'm not going to make Week 6 by midnight Sunday either, as I have quite a lot of other crazy stuff to attend to this week and weekend. ARGH! We'll see....

Hey little-scale, thanks for checking my stuff out!!

Well folks, it looks more likely that I'm going to be writing a song every week from Monday - Monday, so I'm probably going to be out of synch with Weekly Beats.. I should really try and catch up with myself, but work life is getting in the way unfortunately.

For what it's worth here's my WEEK 6 : http://sawfay.bandcamp.com/track/week-6 … volitantes

Cheers!

Most chuffed about that. And quite pleased with this week's tune.

All my others are still on my website: www.songaweekforayear.com
