Send more clowns

By fetalface on September 29, 2024 6:29 pm

A final fantasy soundtrack left to rot in the dungeon of my subconscious, kept alive on a diet of beer and the spiders that fall into its mouth when it's sleeping, let out every once in a while when I feel like making a Weekly Beat.

Love the goofy clarinets. The entire song reminds me of the band Beirut.

Woodwinds really popping off in this. I can see the vision. I also quite like the drop out.

omg please send more "Send more clowns" this rules!
i mean... as the beer and spiders and feelings allow.   smile

Clarinet ensemble sound is amazing, and the dropout in the middle is great. I love how this is both goofy and ominous. Goofy because clowns. And ominous because clowns.

I would even say "send all the clowns you can find".

What an alien track you shared here! It sounds like a weird parade of the circus, with a dog painted as a lion, and bunch of clowns walking on their hands and playing trombone with their feet. How did you even make that track? Did you record all the instruments? This is a pretty mad track. That second section from 1:40 is more nostalgic. I guess the clowns are taking a break in the background, playing cards while sipping on some good old paint alcohol.

Thank you for the alien track!

Thanks, yeall! I agree, the clowns are a little frightening but thank goodness they don't have a lot of stamina or motivation and are easily distracted by a deck of cards.

The instruments are yamaha DJX and Bb clarinet, I don't think I used the bass clarinet on this one but I did add a track w/ DJX "clarinet" patch shifted down an octave that sounds weird and unnatural.

cool to hear what you used, fetalface! listening again with fresh ears... it really is magnificent and feels like the absurdity of modern life, with pockets of beauty. may we all find those pockets when we can.   smile
