OK I'm going to pick up the clarinet again!
OK gonna record the first riff that comes out
[listens back]
OK I think that was exactly the theme song from Dark Shadows
[googles]
OK not exactly but is it close enough to be copyright infringement?
[shrugs]

I love this approach! Sounding pretty great for "picking up the clarinet again" lol

Gorgeous puffs! Love that angular counterpoint between the high voices!!! heart

Love the cinematic atmosphere! Like a cross between noir and being lost in the woods

This is very cool. I don't know Dark Shadows so can't tell. But I love the textures you get from the clarinet. The nuances we can get from real instrument are really wonderful (of course they come with the drawback that they can be challenging to learn to play). I like the vocal layers you use as well there.

Wow, very cool.  I absolutely love all the layers, very well performed.  Vocals sound really cool here too.

hmmmm, like this so much.

Thanks you guys. Kedbreak, I think in-the-box is just as challenging as real instruments and therefore I will steadfastly maintain a beginner to amateur level at both smile

Kineticturtle, i feel that it's like riding a bicycle. But also to be fully transparent though that was the first riff that came out, it took me several takes to record one without mistakes. Somehow when I press that record button all the bloopers come out.

Also I will spare you the details but this is a PSA for woodwind or bowed instrument players to at least give your instruments and cases some air and sun every once in a while, even if you don't always play them. We had a carpet beetle scare at our house so I had the B-flat, A, and bass clarinets all out... then was shamed into playing them all... hopefully can maintain some semblance of regular practice.

It's a vibe

woah, all your tracks are short and interesting -- one of my favorite combinations. I love the sound of a clarinet, very cool usage.

OKAY this seriously makes me want to learn clarinet, this sounds SO GOOD
