Xenak

By fc on January 9, 2014 4:28 am

Inspired by Iannis Xenakis' Metastaseis, this piece was largely done with PureData, then the resulting file had some granular delay added and a limiter, using Live. The "performance" lacked the massive amounts of distortion, but the resultant audio file was full of it. The effect is quite extraordinary.

Enjoyable harmonic interplay with the glissandos.

Favorite one so far. Too many of these pieces seem to stick to an obvious genre, we need more like yours.

Terrific sound work!

I like all the Rhythms created from the distortion. Nice rolling feel!
