Salt Flats

So this week I won a bass from Warwick Australia, and after doing a bit of a setup job on it today (though it still needs a bit more work), I thought I'd give it a work out for my weekly beat. Plenty of mistakes, but I think it is a pretty fun little jam. It's two tracks of this acoustic bass. Pretty neat to score the bass! But yes, a bit rough around the edges, but overall, happy with it. I'm sure I could mix it better but to be honest I just can't be bothered. Have spent the last two nights until way past my bed time recording with my band in a warehouse. Awesome!

Have a good xmas y'all.

That's cool... doesn't really sound like what I'd expect from a bass.  Nice strumming, picking and melodic passes.  Merry Christmas!

Aye, acoustic basses are a bit of a different beast to electric ones, and different also from uprights! Merry xmas to you, also!

Nice little jam man!

Well performed.  I like the warm tone that comes off an acoustic bass.  The tone of the melody (before you slide) almost sounds fretless sometimes.

Was that the Alien Bass?  Congrats.  Some nice bass lines going on dude.

Nathan: thanks!
cTrix: Cheers man, not bad for second take. Yeah that technique I learned years and years ago. "How to make a fretted sound fretless, 101". ;D
Rdomain: 'Twas, and still is! Thanks! Also thanks!
