Named after the salt on the table at the cafe in which I made the patch.

Inspired by theemeraldruby's ukulele work in week 2, I wanted to do a ukulele + Organelle thing. But my general incompetence with the Organelle left me underwhelmed with the result. However, I did enjoy some of the output as raw material. So this is a piece made with ukulele, Organelle (MI Clouds and some other stuff within ORAC) (recorded in the car not while driving), and then a patch made in Pure Data to transform and manipulate in a kind of hypertape way with a generative composition process of out of sync triggers for the sound to fire. Some post-production in Ableton Live.

Vanilla Pd patch if anybody wants to play: https://github.com/vgiles/weeklybeats/b … eltasal.pd

It turned from "this is shit I dunno wtf I'm going to make" to "yay" in the space of an hour with cake and coffee.

Thanks! I look forward to hearing what you come up with. I have a little collaboration thing going on (very slowly) around Max and SuperCollider if you'd be interested in joining in at some stage? It's... very slow.

Love to! I

Tasty manipulation of samples and the stereo mix adds to the interest.  I like the visual of you sitting in some cafe with this in your ears while the rest of the clientel are completely oblivious.  Haha.

Hah, that is quite a funny mental image. The wait staff seemed a bit confused when they dropped off coffee.
