26 (Ft. Faux Foe)

Had a few ideas from Faux Foe's "25" (last week, with permission), wanted to re-explore dummy clips. Looper too. Fun times.

I'll say! This is fantastic: details, please.

Not sure that's particularly helpful. I had three banks for dummy clips, each bank had two chains in it, so I improvised with those somewhat. Then added some automation for the looper (return a), and did some stuff. When I made the source I spliced – essentially at random – Alice's "25" with a short piece I made a while ago taken from field recordings of Melbourne, and a phone conversation that I recorded.

Effects were things like filters/auto filter, delays, M4L Spectral Delay, M4L Space Echo, etc. Some of the dummy clips had automation of parameters included too.

Info for thought. Thanks!

an awesome sonic adventure. Very good stuff!

Brilliant! Lots of nice details to listen to, and a lot of interesting sounds happening.

Hah, thanks muchly.

Damn, the more I listen to this, the better it gets.

The way the sounds morph into each other here is great. Also, the idea of improvisation is cool, I don't do that very often, i think only 2 this year. Maybe i'll try this next week. Thanks!
