The short title is: sqrt5. It was going to be just SQRT, but I wanted to SQRT something; 5 was a suitably arbitrary number.

This is a new patch I made on Saturday, and is a single-take improvisation using it. The thing I wanted to do was make a really bare (hardware) performance thing that could do real-time sampling and manipulation in a live context. Mainly for improvising/structured improvising.

It turns out that a single Korg nanoKONTROL2 is an amazingly expressive device.

Source audio is my Prime, Prime II, Prime III, and some other WeeklyBeat from this year.

Remarkably organic. All that control from a Korg nano? Leads me into temptation…

And yes, I would definitely be up for some collab, if you aren't sick of working with me ::)

Would love to! This particular patch/system would not be ideal, as it is really designed for live/real-time use. But nonetheless, that's nought to be concerned about. Let's do something!

Some really great sounds here, and very impressive that it's all controlled from the Nano.
